The Breakwater District at Ogden Point to be used as a COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Test pickup location

Greater Victoria Harbour Authority supports roll-out of tests by Island Health

Jan. 18, 2022, Victoria, BC – The Greater Victoria Harbour Authority (GVHA) has announced that The Breakwater District at Ogden Point will be used by Island Health as a COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Test pickup location.

The pickup location will be at the north end of the property near Helijet. Appointments are required to pickup a Rapid Antigen Test, which may be booked by contacting Island Health’s call centre at 1-844-901-8442. Please follow all signage and directions when arriving to pickup your test.

“I am excited that our space will help to ensure the COVID-19 test get into the hands of residents,” said Ian Robertson, CEO, Greater Victoria Harbour Authority. “As I have stated over the past two years, the health and safety of Victorians is our top priority. When we faced the reality of a second full cruise season being cancelled, I informed our colleagues at Island Health that The Breakwater District would be available as a potential site for their efforts to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. I am thankful to see this come together for our community.”

The site will be open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays. GVHA is not involved with appointment bookings.
