Victoria Wonderland

Ogden Point
December 7, 2020 - December 31, 2020

The First Annual Victoria Wonderland is a contactless, vehicle-only, 25 minute drive through experience of holiday wonder, being held at The Breakwater District at Ogden Point in association with the Greater Victoria Harbour Authority and is being produced by Graham Meckling, Michael Heid of Sigma-1 Productions, and the team at Transcend Victoria.

The show will be running from December 7 to 31, 2020 with six shows a day and 50 cars per show, at a flat rate of $40 per vehicle (weekdays) and $50 per vehicle (weekends). Optional add-ons include a Wonderland Gift Bag with treats and Items provided by the event’s many local sponsors, a set of four pairs of 3D glasses to enhance the experience, and an opportunity to sponsor a warm under layer of thermal long johns for Victoria’s homeless. A portion of proceeds will go to several of Victoria’s amazing local charities including Power to Be, Victoria Hospice, Make a Wish Foundation, and Victoria’s Women’s Transition House.

“With virtually all of Victoria’s favorite traditional holiday events and gatherings being cancelled this year due to the pandemic, we wanted to present a unique opportunity to bring a completely safe, and truly spectacular gift of hope and joy to the City of Victoria. As our guests drive through an electric extravaganza, they will be presented with thousands of lights and immersive visuals, invoking feelings of holiday togetherness and cheer,” said Graham Meckling, local entrepreneur. “Once the creative geniuses at Sigma-1 and Transcend Victoria signed on to produce the event, and the local charities excitedly signed on, I knew this vision was not only possible but is going to be something the people of Victoria will never forget, and will hopefully become an annual fixture of the City’s holiday traditions.”

“We’re used to large-scale operations and events on our properties, such as the CFB Esquimalt Defence on the Dock, our seasonal cruise operations, and the recent Times Colonist Book Drive drop-off event,” said Ian Robertson, CEO of the Greater Victoria Harbour Authority. “We are really happy to support this event and bring some holiday cheer to Victorians during such a challenging time.”

The inaugural event has already attracted support from a wide range of amazing sponsors such as Canadian Tire, Island Brine Company, Sigma-1, Western Stevedoring, the Greater Victoria Harbour Authority, The Athlete Centre, PK Sound, The Fernwood Inn, Tiny Capital, Conscious Thought Revolution, and Cameron, Izzard & Snell.
