Soul of Vietnam – August 16
Soul of Vietnam is a vibrant celebration of Vietnamese culture, community, and creativity that takes place on Ship Point.
It is a free, family-friendly event. The festival features a full day of live performances, traditional and contemporary music, dance showcases, and an international fashion show. Visitors can enjoy authentic Vietnamese food vendors, a Kid Zone with games and face painting, and interactive activities designed to spark curiosity and connection with Vietnamese culture. The festival aims to create a welcoming space for the broader community to experience Vietnamese culture through food, art, and shared celebration.
Classic Boat Festival – September 4 – 6
The Classic Boat Festival, hosted by the Maritime Museum of BC, is an annual celebration of maritime heritage that brings together up to 100 beautifully restored and maintained classic boats from across the Pacific Northwest. Held along Victoria’s Inner Harbour, the event offers visitors the chance to stroll the docks, admire historic vessels, and meet their passionate owners.
The festival provides the opportunity to learn about traditional boatbuilding and seafaring history. It’s a vibrant, family-friendly weekend that blends nostalgia, craftsmanship, and community spirit against the stunning backdrop of Victoria’s waterfront.
