GVHA hosts and partners on a variety of vibrant events around the Inner Harbour that celebrate life on the water, sustainability, art, culture, food, sport, heritage, and community spirit. There’s something for everyone to enjoy in British Columbia’s city of festivals.

Market on the Pier, which offers artisan products from local vendors at the Breakwater District at Ogden Point, operates when cruise ships are at the terminal. Visit our cruise schedule for arrival details.

ReLove Market (Saturday May 17) – Ship Point Pier

ReLove Market brings together vintage and secondhand clothing vendors, local artisans and eco-conscious brands. This is first of four ReLove markets during 2025 on Ship Point Pier.

Swiftsure Yacht Race (May 24-25) – Lower Causeway marina

The Swiftsure International Yacht Race is the premier long-distance sailing race in the Pacific Northwest, drawing sailors and sailing enthusiasts to Victoria’s Inner Harbour. The competitors moor at the Lower Causeway marina before departing for the race.

ReLove Market (Saturday June 7) – Ship Point Pier

The second ReLove Market of the year. Discover vintage and secondhand clothing vendors, local artisans and eco-conscious brands.

World Oceans Day (Sunday June 8) – Fisherman’s Wharf

In partnership with Eagle Wing Tours, this annual event informs people about the need for healthy oceans. It is a fun, free, family-friendly event that brings together a variety of conservation organizations at Fisherman’s Wharf from 11am to 4pm.

Jane Austen Promenade (Sunday June 15) – The Breakwater

Members of the Jane Austen Society of North America will celebrate the 250th anniversary of the author’s birth with a stroll down the Breakwater in full Georgian costume at around 9am.

Van Isle 360 Yacht Race (June 11-13) – Lower Causeway marina

The Van Isle Yacht Race, also known as the Van Isle 360 International Yacht Race, is a 588-nautical mile circumnavigation of Vancouver Island. The race features 40 boats and 350 participants, taking place over 14 days. It begins and ends in Nanaimo. Boats moor at the Lower Causeway marina.

Victoria Ska & Reggae Festival (June 18-22) – Ship Point

The Victoria Ska & Reggae Festival is Canada’s longest-running festival dedicated to ska, reggae, and world music, bringing high-energy performances to the city’s waterfront every summer. The festival showcases a diverse lineup of international and local artists, blending music, art, and community in a vibrant, all-ages celebration.

CrabFest (Sunday June 29) – Ship Point Pier

CrabFest is a delicious celebration of fresh, local seafood, bringing the community together for a feast on the waterfront. It features a BC crab boil with fresh Dungeness crab, mussels, prawns/shrimp, potatoes and corn. There will also be music and family-friendly activities. 11am to 7pm.

Canada Day (Tuesday July 1) – Inner Harbour

Numerous Canada Day events occur around the entire Inner Harbour, including on the lawns of the BC Legislative Assembly. The Inner Harbour is the ideal place to see the evening fireworks.

Festival Mexicano (July 12-13) – Ship Point

Festival Mexicano brings the vibrant spirit of Mexico to the Inner Harbour with a lively celebration of music, dance, food and culture. Held at Ship Point, this family-friendly festival showcases traditional performances, authentic cuisine, artisan vendors, and interactive activities.

ReLove Market (Sunday July 20) – Ship Point Pier

The third ReLove Market of the year. Discover vintage and secondhand clothing vendors, local artisans and eco-conscious brands.

Northwest Deuce Days (July 17-20) – Various locations

Every three years, Northwest Deuce Days roll into Victoria, bringing a spectacular gathering of classic hot rods and vintage cars from the United States. Look out for the vehicles at various locations over the weekend.

Symphony Splash (August 2-3) – Inner Harbour

A beloved summer tradition returns. Symphony Splash will entertain the Inner Harbour with classical music for the first time since 2019. The Victoria Symphony will perform on two days from a barge situated alongside the Lower Causeway marina. More details to follow.

Victoria Dragon Boat Festival (August 8-10) – Ship Point Pier

The Victoria Dragon Boat Festival brings teams from across North America to race in the Inner Harbour. Ship Point Pier is the perfect spot to see the races. This three-day festival blends high-energy competition with cultural celebrations, featuring live performances, local food vendors, and family-friendly activities.

i-Land Caribbean Fest (August 29-31) – Ship Point Pier

I-Land Fest brings the vibrant spirit of the Caribbean to the Inner Harbour with a high-energy celebration of music, dance, food, and culture. Held at Ship Point Pier, this festival has live performances, steel drum bands, colourful costumes, and fine cuisine. Enjoy reggae, soca, calypso and much more.

Classic Boat Festival (August 29-31) – Lower Causeway marina & Ship Point Pier

The Classic Boat Festival brings a stunning fleet of vintage boats to the Inner Harbour each year. Featuring beautifully restored sailboats, powerboats and workboats, this festival celebrates the craftsmanship and history of classic vessels. Explore the docks, meet the owners, and much more.

Soul of Vietnam (Saturday September 20) – Ship Point

Soul of Vietnam Foundation is a non-profit focused on celebrating Vietnamese culture. This event features traditional and cultural performances, art exhibitions, and lots of delicious food.

Sleigh the Day (Sunday November 30) – Ship Point

Sleigh the Day is a free festive holiday celebration at Ship Point. It features free holiday craft-making for all ages, sing-alongs with festive carolers, drag performances, and seasonal treats from local vendors.

Harbour Holiday Light Up (early December) – Inner Harbour

Celebrate the season with the Harbour Holiday Light up, a waterfront event that transforms the Inner Harbour into a festive wonderland. Hosted by GVHA, this annual celebration features lights, local vendors, holiday music and much more. Even Santa Claus makes an appearance. Date to be confirmed.
