lək̓ʷəŋən Traditional Territory/Victoria, BC, October 17, 2025 — Victoria’s 2025 cruise season comes to a close on Saturday with a final call by the Norwegian Encore (pictured above).
Following the Encore’s departure, Victoria will have received 311 total calls in 2025, which brought 992,736 passengers and 378,845 crew members to the city.
The 2025 season mirrored 2024’s strong results, which saw 316 calls and 970,000 passengers arrive in Victoria. The first cruise ship of the season, the Disney Wonder, arrived on March 6.
The Greater Victoria Harbour Authority (GVHA) also celebrated five inaugural calls, where cruise ships visited the port for the first time, and launched the Market on the Pier, an artisan market that welcomed passengers at the terminal throughout the season.
“With another successful season coming to an end, the cruise ship industry continues to provide a significant economic benefit to Greater Victoria,” said GVHA acting CEO Judith Ethier. “We are very grateful for the on-going support of the cruise lines and the numerous businesses and organizations in Victoria who work so hard to provide an engaging experience for cruise visitors.”
GVHA is looking forward to a successful 2026 season when both Virgin Voyages and MSC Cruises will start making calls at the Breakwater District at Ogden Point.
