GVHA will offer a series of markets on Ship Point Pier during the summer of 2025. The markets are primarily designed to offer handmade goods from local artisans. The remaining market dates this season are September 12-13-14 (Fri-Sun).

Artists on the Causeway

Artists on the Causeway celebrates art and artists. This open-air gallery helps artisan artists sell their art to people visiting the Lower Causeway. We only accept applications from artists who offer handmade original art. Mass produced products are not permitted to be sold.

This agreement is valid from May 1, 2026 to April 31, 2027.

Please note we are only accepting payment via credit card.

Permit fees are non-refundable. Fees must be paid within 30 days of being invoiced. Non payment of fees will result in a penalty fee of 5% on the outstanding balance and will be charged monthly until all monies are paid in full. 

Artists and food vendors must set up for a minimum of four days per week.

You are required to upload a copy of your liability insurance. GVHA requires Artists on the Causeway to maintain a policy of general public liability insurance against claims for bodily injury, death or property damage in the amount of not less than $2 million per single occurrence, arising out of the operations of the vendor at the Inner Harbour, Victoria, B.C. Coverage needs to name GVHA as Additional Insureds with 30 days prior notice of any cancellation or material change. Food vendors require $5 million per single occurrence. 

Food vendors are required to upload a copy of their VIHA certificate, which allows the sale of food and beverages. Performers are required to upload a copy of their City of Victoria busking permit. 

Market on the Pier at the Breakwater District

The Market on the Pier operates at the Breakwater District at Odgen Point when cruise ships are at the terminal. This market, a collaboration between SSA Marine (terminal operator) and Summer’s Sunday (market organizer), offers handmade goods from local vendors.
