Quiet on the Set!
GVHA facilities are a sought after filming location, showcasing downtown and the Inner Harbour. In recent years, Victoria has issued filming permits for films such as Playdate, Pupstar, Gracepoint, the Gourmet Detective, and The Boy, in addition to many others. Victoria has been used as the setting for rural England, suburban towns in Oregon, California, South Dakota, and late 1800’s San Francisco.
Victoria’s mild climate makes it ideal for filming year-round, with an average of 2,193 hours of sunshine and 58.3 cm of rainfall per year. Summers will see approximately 14-16 hours of light per day and winters approximately 8-10 hours of light per day.
