Public access to the water

Owned and operated by GVHA, the James Bay Boat Ramp is located at 75 Dallas Road, minutes from downtown Victoria.

Conveniently located near Victoria’s Inner Harbour, the James Bay Boat Ramp offers easy access to the water for small boats, kayaks, and other recreational vessels. Perfect for launching your next adventure, the ramp is open year-round, available for public use and provides a safe and accessible entry point to the water.

Features:

   •      Public boat launch for small vessels.

   •      Ample space for loading and unloading.

   •      Public parking.

Boaters are asked to pay a modest fee, starting at $10 for launch and 24 hours of parking.

In fall of 2024, GVHA began making improvements to the boat launch area, including adding a pathway, an irrigation system, and landscaping.
